Pros: I liked. Other Thoughts: I put this mobo in a friends computer. Everything worked fine. We had 512(pc3200) that we bought for it. Then my friend said he wanted some more RAM. I had a stick of 256(pc2700) that I tried and I had the same problem that your describing.Took the pc2700 out and everything worked fine. I recomend trying to borrow some pc3200 RAM from a friend to be certain that thts the problem, but I'm pretty sure that thats what it is. I hear that ASUS is pickey about what RAM it will accept anyway. Pros: cheap ddr 400 standard, pci-e graphics sata 1, built in sound and video for someone who wants a budget pc with the option to upgrade to pci-e later. Supports a wide range of 775 processors and memory sticks. Currently I have tried rosewill, pqi, and corsair 512mb and 1gb sticks in this board with sucess. Data not uploaded to ziton zp3 panel from software. The pcb is thick and well labled, asus makes plugging in the case switches and leds a breeze. Cons: Only one ide connection. Most people building a new system will find this to be acceptable, but for those who are upgrading, this makes placement of an existing hdd and cdrom difficult not to mention only support for 2 ide devices with out an ide to sata adapter which I recommend not to use. Remember, there is only so much allowed distance between to drives on the end of a ide ribbon cable;) No 3 or 2 pin power supply fan connector, only cpu and chassis. If you are putting this into a matx case and plan on buying a better power supply, some psus' come with a pwr_fan connector. This shouldn't pose a problem unless you want to monitor your psu fan speed and or let the motherboard change your fans speed/noise with q-fan like most asus boards. Other Thoughts: If your on a budget you can't beat this price/quality/performance ratio.
